| When Linksys asked if I wanted to try out their new WRT1900AC Router- -a router being described as the fastest, most powerful home router you can buy today- I had to say "Of course!" Last summer I upgraded my Wi-Fi network to AC in anticipation of Google Fiber rolling out here in Austin- which we are still waiting on. This new WRT1900AC is surprisingly faster than my year-old Asus AC Router and with better range, too. We test this new Linksys router out with LAN Speed Test and by streaming uncompressed 4k video across the network. In our distance test I get across the street and even to the backyard of the house across the street and still get signal on the wireless AC 5ghz network.
