| Complete review of the Texas build. I think I do a fairly good job going over the components and build. I talk about problems that I had building the computer and go over what I thought was best as far as the setup and design. Even if I can't get the RevoDrive X2 to work, I think this is going to be one heck of a build.

| Lisa Gade reviews the Toshiba Encore, a 8" Windows 8.1 tablet running on the new Intel Atom Bay Trail quad core Z3740 1.33GHz CPU. Like the Dell Venue 8 Pro and Lenovo Miix 2 8, the tablet has a 1280 x 800 IPS touch screen, and 2 gigs of RAM and 32 or 64 gigs of eMMC solid state storage. Unlike those two tablets, the Encore has a micro HDMI port so you don't have to rely on Micracast wireless display. The Toshiba weighs just under a pound and it has dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, a front camera and rear 8MP camera. The tablet runs full Windows and is compatible with legacy Windows desktop programs. It starts at $329. |
